Neo-Moscow, 2077. Kiera Volkov, once the Directorate's deadliest weapon, code-named Nightfall, is now a ghost, haunted by fragmented memories of a past she can't grasp.  The Directorate, sensing her dangerous potential, sends Rhys, her former partner and lover, to erase her. Rhys, his own mind a carefully constructed lie, remembers nothing of their shared past, only the mission to eliminate her.
Kiera's desperate search for her lost identity leads her to Anya Sharma, a brilliant neuroscientist consumed by guilt over her role in the Directorate’s mind control technology, and Jax, an information broker trafficking in forbidden truths. Together, they offer Kiera a perilous path back to her memories, a journey that could shatter the Directorate's fabricated reality.
As Kiera delves deeper, fragments of a mission gone wrong, a shattering betrayal, and a clandestine program known as Chrysalis begin to resurface. Chrysalis is more than memory manipulation; it’s the Directorate’s plan to rewrite history itself, ensuring their eternal control.
Rhys, plagued by increasingly vivid glimpses of a love he shouldn’t remember, begins to question his mission, his pursuit of Kiera becoming a desperate dance between duty and a burgeoning sense of self.
