“This book made me happy in the first five pages.” —AJ Jacobs, author of The Year of Living Biblically: One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible
Award-winning author Gretchen Rubin is back with a bang, with The Happiness Project. The author of the bestselling 40 Ways to Look at Winston Churchill has produced a work that is “a cross between the Dalai Lama’s The Art of Happiness and Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat, Pray, Love.” (Sonya Lyubomirsky, author of The How of Happiness: A Scientific Approach to Getting the Life You Want) In the vein of Julie and Julia, The Happiness Project describes one person’s year-long attempt to discover what leads to true contentment. Drawing at once on cutting-edge science, classical philosophy, and real-world applicability, Rubin has written an engaging, eminently relatable chronicle of transformation.

This book is relatable and amazing! I'll definitely recommend it to anyone, anytime. Gretchen, the author of the book, has a nice sense of humor and i can remember laughing out loud to her stories about her husband and his attitude during the project.

I can say that this book has refined my thoughts about happiness significantly and also kinda made me happier, lol! I'm actually on the verge of embarking on a happiness project although not as elaborate as hers. Great book!

    🌴Beach Bag Book

It is pretty long, but if you ignore repetitions and needless descriptions at times, you will find valuable advice! I believe that everyone can find something useful in the book.

By doing a little bit each day, you can get a lot accomplished. We tend to overestimate how much we can accomplish in an hour or a week and underestimate how much we can accomplish in a month or a year, by doing just a little bit each day. “A small daily task, if it be really daily, will beat the labours of a spasmodic Hercules.”—Anthony Trollope
