John Hoskison

John Hoskison was a highly successful professional golfer twice representing Europe against the USA in PGA Cup Matches.

In 1994 he made a terrible mistake that had tragic and devastating consequences. After a golf match he broke a twenty year discipline and accepted a drink before driving home. On the short journey he hit and killed a cyclist.

After receiving the most incredible forgiveness, John wrote a deeply emotional book about the experience. His book, 'Inside - One Man's Experience of Prison', outlines the dreadful tragedy and portrays the harsh realities of prison. The book was highly regarded by judges, top prison officials and by the Chief Inspector of Prisons Lord Ramsbotham.

After many years trying to make amends John Hoskison now spends most of his time talking to school children about the importance of making the right choices in life and not taking stupid, unnecessary, risks. He has now spoken at over 300 schools, to over 100,000 children. He is also an ambassador for the organisation 'No Offence'.
